After months of hectic hard work (?) in college, I finally have the time to blog. It is a well-deserved entry for me for it has been so long and I feel like I owe you guys for all the late posts. It is indeed, rainy season, but that will not stop us from scouring the streets/malls/etc. for some yummy finds.
J. Co Donuts first opened its doors in Indonesia last 2005 and now has over 100 outlets all over Asia including Malaysia, China, Singapore and the Philippines (SM Megamall, Greenbelt 3, SM Mall of Asia, TriNoma).
What's unique about their donuts are the flavors and infusions that they use to create something out of the usual holed pastries. Take for example their "Green Tease" doughnut was surprisingly tasty, because the usual reaction would be, "Yuck! tea-flavored doughnuts?? That's disgusting!" But no, it had a creamy feel to it and it did not have the bitter aftertaste that one would expect from eating/drinking tea-flavored concoctions. And tea is well known to be a great antioxidant and J. Co uses macha green tea powder for their doughnuts/drinks.
They also sell coffee/tea and they all look so delicious. But the Baby Pops that we ordered was just too much sugar that we had to go for water instead. If it's your first time in J. Co, I suggest that you go for their Baby Pops donuts which include 13 flavors of their bestselling doughnuts, so this could help you decide on what to order in dozens when you're already hooked! It is a good sampler that includes 2 of each flavor (except their Chocolate/Strawberry Caviar doughnuts which only come in 1's.)
The store is quite small in MOA, and couches would have been appreciated if there was enough space. It is also a WiFi area zone, so hooray to that! (the password is oreofrappe - I dunno if they're going to retain this but whatever) they should also start investing in glasses and MORE WATER. Because seriously, eating too much sweets can cause severe throat itching.)
We really enjoyed our J. Co experience and we highly suggest that you drop by the newly-opened Jamba Juice stall inside MOA! :)
