J. Co Donuts
After months of hectic hard work (?) in college, I finally have the time to blog. It is a well-deserved entry for me for it has been so long and I feel like I owe you guys for all the late posts. It is indeed, rainy season, but that will not stop us from scouring the streets/malls/etc. for some yummy finds.
J. Co Donuts first opened its doors in Indonesia last 2005 and now has over 100 outlets all over Asia including Malaysia, China, Singapore and the Philippines (SM Megamall, Greenbelt 3, SM Mall of Asia, TriNoma).
What's unique about their donuts are the flavors and infusions that they use to create something out of the usual holed pastries. Take for example their "Green Tease" doughnut was surprisingly tasty, because the usual reaction would be, "Yuck! tea-flavored doughnuts?? That's disgusting!" But no, it had a creamy feel to it and it did not have the bitter aftertaste that one would expect from eating/drinking tea-flavored concoctions. And tea is well known to be a great antioxidant and J. Co uses macha green tea powder for their doughnuts/drinks.
They also sell coffee/tea and they all look so delicious. But the Baby Pops that we ordered was just too much sugar that we had to go for water instead. If it's your first time in J. Co, I suggest that you go for their Baby Pops donuts which include 13 flavors of their bestselling doughnuts, so this could help you decide on what to order in dozens when you're already hooked! It is a good sampler that includes 2 of each flavor (except their Chocolate/Strawberry Caviar doughnuts which only come in 1's.)
The store is quite small in MOA, and couches would have been appreciated if there was enough space. It is also a WiFi area zone, so hooray to that! (the password is oreofrappe - I dunno if they're going to retain this but whatever) they should also start investing in glasses and MORE WATER. Because seriously, eating too much sweets can cause severe throat itching.)
We really enjoyed our J. Co experience and we highly suggest that you drop by the newly-opened Jamba Juice stall inside MOA! :)

Purple Oven
***Disclaimer: We do not own any of these photos for they were found only on Google, due to a very busy schedule my actual photos are not available so I got some from the internet. Thank you!
So someone just turned 20 last 22nd and what is a birthday with no bbbbbbirthday caaaake. Purple Oven was/used to be Starbucks' supplier and my aunt found this hidden haven for our secret food adventures. I ordered one of their best (in my opinion) which is the Chocolate Campfire Cake. You will absolutely salute to the moist chocolate cake and not to mention every child's dream of eating ready-made roasted marshmallows. Kudos to this little paradise! You can find them at 63 St. Peter St., Oranbo, Pasig City. They also deliver for a minimum order worth P2,000. Call (02) 631-4221, (02) 910-1364, (02) 910-1363, (0906) 315-7661. They are open everyday from 8:00 am to 7:30 pm.

Pancake House
So last Friday the family and I went to Manila Ocean Park for the second time and of course, munching on loads of food would always be involved. Decided to have a family lunch at Pancake House. Ordered their Best Tacos in Town, and trust me, besides my aunt's overloaded tacos, these are a must if you want to go for the lighter option for the day. My cousin had Caramel Banana Walnut Waffles (you also have the option to have this cooked in pancake form, if that's what you like). I recommend adding side dishes to your pancakes/waffles such as their specialty: Country Sausages. It gives the salty accent to their sweet dishes.
It's nice to be back on track! Please stay tuned for more posts!
