Homemade Wicked Oreos

What you will need:

Pancake mix (I prefer to use Maya Pancake mix, not the instant one step mix)
Oreos (Double stuffed Oreos to double the fun!)
Ice cream (Vanilla makes a good combination)
Any condiments of your choice (sprinkles, mini mallows, choco chips, etc.)

Procedure:

  1. Boil cooking oil in a pan deep enough for deep frying the cookies.
  2. Prepare the pancake mix.
  3. Test if the oil is hot enough by dropping a few drops of batter into the oil. it must not be too hot for the cookies may get burnt. If the mixture floats then the oil is hot enough.
  4. Dip the cookies one at a time on both sides, do not leave them in the batter for this may cause the cookies to be too heavy for frying.
  5. Carefully put the dipped cookies into the pan, wait for it to float then turn using cooking tongs. Repeat this until both sides are golden brown.
  6. Place freshly cooked wicked oreos in a strainer to remove excess oil.
  7. Serve in a platter with a scoop of ice cream on top, decorate with condiments and enjoy!
